American Society of Civil Engineers

Each spring, Notre Dame ASCE participates in the Great Lakes Regional Conference, an event bringing together ASCE members from 18 regional universities for three days of competition in areas spanning the breadth of civil engineering.  The main competitions are the concrete canoe and steel bridge, and smaller competitions include Materials, Geotechnical, the Mead Technical Paper on Engineering Ethics, Surveying, and a Mystery Design competition.  This conference fosters a spirit of camaraderie as well competition among participants.

 

The University of Notre Dame was privileged to host the 2009 ASCE Great Lakes Conference and will do so again this Spring 2015.   Hosting this competition requires a large deal of funding so the Notre Dame ASCE chapter appreciates any sort of donation that would help us put on a very memorbale competition this spring.
